OUR STORY

Hi I'm XUAN, founder of EAT MALA.

Growing up in China, I discovered just how diverse and exciting Chinese food really is.

When I moved to the UK as a teenager, I noticed only a small part of that richness being shared.

The same few dishes, while so much more remained unknown 😮

EAT MALA was born to change that.

Inspired by tradition, we bring fresh energy to show the lesser-known sides of Chinese food, making it approachable, vibrant, and easy to enjoy.

Spot the elements from China & the UK in the mahjong inspired tiles!

In Chinese, ‘MALA’ means tingling and spicy - a bold and distinctive Chinese flavour that not everyone is familiar with.

We’re here to open the door to the wider world of new Chinese flavours, crafted naturally with no shortcuts.
